Communications
The Communications and Marketing Committee shall plan and coordinate external communications to members, community leaders and organizations, and the general public, providing a resource for other committees and the board for email, web, social media, and print communications including marketing communications, subject to the board’s budget approval and guidance. The committee shall be responsible for selection, sourcing, management, and sales of CSPA-branded merchandise.
Equipment and Facilities
The Equipment and Facilities Committee shall manage the physical assets of the association including equipment and supplies used for competitive and recreational play, and shall be responsible for fulfilling facilities maintenance obligations of the association, subject to the board’s budget approval.
Expansion
is responsible for coordinating all club efforts to obtain more court space. This includes identification of sites and working with the local leadership of Island County and the City of Stanwood to build additional courts. The dedicated courts at Heritage Park were built as a result of collaborative efforts of CSPA and the city of Stanwood. All partnerships and contracts are approved by the Board.
Membership and Member Play
The Membership and Member Play Committee is responsible for planning and scheduling both regular and one-time events not including the competitive tournaments. This committee also manages the member roster and member retention.
Member Skills Development
plans, schedules and implements structured skill development for members at various skill levels and in various formats. This includes both free and additional cost training. All contractual commitments are Board approved.
Tournament
The Tournament Committee plans and implements all stand-alone competitive events (aka tournaments) hosted by CSPA. This can include proposed dates, locations, budgets and seeking sponsorships. As with other committees, any fiscal commitments are first approved by the Board.
